Free KNX Event Set for Universal Sheraton This Friday May 8

(Los Angeles) – KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO is bringing together prominent business leaders and successful entrepreneurs for the KNX Business Hour's 2015 Small Business Summit, presented by MOO.com. The free event which includes a continental breakfast and networking session will take place on Friday, May 8 at 7:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City.

The event, entitled “Achieving Small Business Success,” is designed to give small business owners and those thinking about starting a business insight into the key challenges of turning a passion into a profitable venture. Frank Mottek, business anchor and host of the KNX Business Hour heard weekdays at 1:00pm, will moderate the discussion. Some of the topics will include , the impact of a rising minimum wage, crowdfunding, employee benefits, insurance, regulations and marketing.

Panelists will include KNX Business Hour featured contributors and other special guests, including Beacon Economics founding partner Christopher Thornberg; Attorney and L.A. BizFed Founder, David Fleming; Entrepreneur Organization President, Gary Alexander; local and the author of “Sell Local. Think Global.,” Olga Mizrahi; District Director of the Small Business Association's Los Angeles office, Victor Parker; and strategist and crowdfunding expert, Adam Chapnick.

Jan Perry, General Manager of Economic & Workforce Development Department City of Los Angeles and former Los Angeles Councilmember, will deliver welcoming remarks at 8:30am.
