London, United Kingdom, February 18, 2012 –(PR.com)– Much of February’s horse racing has been severely impacted by the bitter cold snap that has cloaked most of the UK in frost, ice and snow. However the team at Sportsbook Guardian has avoided falling into winter hibernation and has instead been busy rolling out significant changes to the front end of their sports betting portal site.
The most obvious refinement is a significant investment in prominently displaying blog content on the front page. The most recent five posts are now shown on Sportsbook Guardian‘s main page, complete with content snippet and thumbnail image.
Chris Denny (one of the main webmasters) says: “We wanted to position the business more closely towards our twin goals of being both a blog and a trusted industry reviews site. With the blog content on the front page we are now closer to fulfilling both goals, previously the old site’s front page was balanced too much towards static content and we want to show case the bloggers that contribute every week.”
With a team of internal and external guest bloggers there are now as many as half a dozen people contributing views on a daily basis, and the team very much hope that more users actively engage with the brand, both on their blog and also on the bookmakers reviews.
To enable greater communication in the social media world all blog and betting site review pages now have the option to share on Reddit, Digg as well as the more established channels like Facebook and Twitter. Sportsbook reviews now offer all users the ability to write about their own experience betting on the sites. User generated descriptions feature rating stars and written comments for featured bookmakers such as BetVictor, StanJames, PaddyPower, Bwin and Bet365.
Marketing Executive Dita Pacrami reports: “Site visitors have been quite keen to write reviews, with a surprising mixture of positives and negative experiences. With the new site changes we have noticed a spike in traffic, and are looking forward to examining the analytics further.”
Sportsbook Guardian continues to evolve and earmarked for future integration is to establish a user forum on the portal. It may be chilly outside, but things are heating up for Sportsbook Guardian.
