Ecolab to Receive 2024 ELC Corporate Award for DEI Excellence

Published on

The Executive Leadership Council (ELC), a leading global organization for Black CEOs, senior executives, corporate board directors, top entrepreneurs, and thought leaders, has announced that Ecolab will receive the 2024 ELC Corporate Award. The award will be presented during The ELC Recognition Gala on October 3, 2024, at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C.

The ELC Corporate Award recognizes companies that demonstrate exceptional partnership, collaboration, and dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Ecolab is being honored for its strong commitment to embedding DEI across its operations, from talent recruitment and development to customer and supplier engagement.

“Ecolab’s unwavering focus on creating an inclusive workplace where diversity, equity, and inclusion are ingrained in everyday practices sets a remarkable example,” said Michael C. Hyter, president and CEO of The Executive Leadership Council. “Their efforts to foster a culture where all employees feel empowered to be their authentic selves have made a significant impact both within their organization and beyond. The ELC is proud to recognize Ecolab’s leadership in driving sustainable DEI progress.”

Ecolab has made it a priority to create a workforce that reflects the communities it serves. The company is committed to initiatives such as maintaining pay equity, expanding diverse talent pipelines, and increasing gender and racial/ethnic diversity in management positions by 2030.

The company’s DEI efforts have earned numerous accolades, including being named a Top 50 Company for Diversity by Fair360 (formerly DiversityInc) and receiving the Human Rights Campaign’s “Equality 100 Award” on the Corporate Equality Index for 11 consecutive years.

“For more than a century, Ecolab has embraced opportunities where others see challenges,” said Christophe Beck, Ecolab’s Chairman and CEO. “The ELC has inspired us to elevate our Black talent and foster open dialogue among leaders across our organization. We hope Ecolab can serve as an example that business success, innovation, and growth are deeply connected to diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

The 2024 ELC Recognition Gala, themed “Unstoppable Together,” is the highlight of The ELC Gala Week, celebrating the achievements of Black executives and supporting the next generation of Black leaders. The week features several high-profile events, including the gala, which honors outstanding individuals and companies for their leadership and commitment to DEI excellence.
