St. Paul, MN, July 03, 2013 –(PR.com)– Avionté was recently recognized as a leading workplace in two top 100 awards lists. For the second year in a row, the staffing software provider was listed as a Top Workplace in the Star Tribune’s annual award list and this year, Avionté was also listed in the Minnesota Business Magazine’s Best Companies award list.
CEO of Avionté John Long said he was very excited to hear that Avionté had made the lists.
“I think I feel even more proud to have made the Top Workplaces and Best Companies to Work For lists than I did when I heard we’d made the Inc. 500|5000 Fastest Growing U.S. Companies list for the first time,” Long said. “Many companies seem to forget that the most important aspect of any company is the company’s employees. I think this is an indication of retention … If all of the horses are running in the same direction, there’s a lot we can accomplish.”
Recipients for both awards were chosen based on the results of employee surveys, which contained questions that focused on areas such as work environment, employee benefits and overall employee satisfaction. According to creators of the Star Tribune’s WorkplaceDynamics survey, there are three things that drive the long term health of a company: a clear direction for the company’s future, a culture of high performance and a strong connection between employees and the company.
For both awards, Avionté Staffing Software was recognized for its “work hard, play hard” environment, its relationship-focused mindset and its philanthropic efforts.
Long states, “while our organization has some level of vertical structure, it feels and operates very flat. Starting from their first day on the job, employees are encouraged to voice their opinions and ideas with anyone in the company. Development, support and customer care teams are organized in collaborative pods and the managers are right in the day-to-day mix with their teams. The entire company is well-aligned in culture and focused on providing our customers with superior customer service.”
Avionté’s focus on its employees, customers and partners is clearly visible. Avionté’s employees are encouraged to work hard to achieve individual, department and company goals and are rewarded for achieving those goals in various ways. As a team-focused company, Avionté provides employees a long list of events throughout the year. Outings such as St. Paul Saints and Timberwolves, regular happy hours, company parties and catered lunches help to promote teamwork and recognize hard work.
This team-focused mentality transcends the boundaries of the company’s corporate office. To encourage increased involvement of employees within their communities, the founders of Avionté launched the Avionté Hope Foundation (AHF) in January of 2012, which Long describes as the non-profit arm of Avionté. Through AHF, Avionté employees are granted three days of PTO each year to volunteer at a place of their choice. The company donates roughly two percent of its profits to nonprofits, organizations and individuals through the Foundation.
While Long said he recognizes the many strengths of the company, he’s continuing to strive for greatness, in both the culture of the organization and also by increasing innovation through its products and services, which the staffing software company now provides to over 175 clients across the U.S. and Canada.
