What 30 Years in Music Taught Me About Life

Develop a Support System

Surround yourself with people who love and support you, not those who use or drain you. Support doesn’t always come from people who look like you. There are allies from all walks of life willing to help you thrive. Beware of those who ask for favors without reciprocation or tell you you’re undercharging. Who you keep company with determines how far you go. In today’s creator economy, collaboration and genuine networks are gold. Distance yourself from complainers who refuse to change—it’s rarely the world’s fault; it’s theirs.
